Twenty-three-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams crashed out of Wimbledon 2026 in the first round on her return to professional singles tennis after four years. The 44-year-old lost to Australia's Maya Joint 3-6, 7-6(8-6), 3-6 in two hours and 22 minutes. She skipped her post-match press conference following the defeat at Wimbledon.
