Serial killer 'Butcher of Delhi' caught after evading arrest for a year

Chanderkant Jha, a serial killer convicted for serial killings that shook Delhi in 2006-2007, has been traced and arrested after a 3-month operation, Delhi Police (Crime Branch) said. He jumped parole in 2023 while serving a life sentence and carried a ₹50,000 bounty on his arrest. His crimes inspired the Netflix docuseries "Indian Predator: The Butcher of Delhi".
