Serious concern: SC on airfare surge during festive season

While hearing a PIL, Supreme Court observed that price surge of air tickets during festive season is a “serious concern.” “We've taken the matter to the highest level....we'll come up with a counter,” Additional Solicitor General Anil Kaushik told the court. The plea said air travel has become increasingly unaffordable due to “unregulated, unpredictable and exploitative” fare mechanisms.
