Settled some claims: J&J on claims that talc items caused cancer

Erik Haas, Johnson & Johnson's World Wide Vice President of Litigation, claimed it recently reached settlements with law firms over clients' claims that J&J talc products caused cancer. Settlements were reached "with a goal to facilitate our pursuit of a consensual prepackaged bankruptcy resolution", he added. J&J faces more than 50,000 lawsuits over talc, most by women with ovarian cancer.
