Several French cities to ban Qatar FIFA WC fan zones over humanitarian issues

Several French cities, including Lille, Strasbourg and Bordeaux, have decided to not organise fan zones or put up giant TV screens to show the matches of the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The decision is taken in protest against the alleged ecological and humanitarian abuses in Qatar. Lille Mayor Martine Aubry called the WC "nonsense in terms of human rights".
