Severe winter storm hits US, panic buying empties supermarket shelves

Several people are stocking up on essentials as US is facing a massive winter storm. According to reports, panic buying cleared out supplies at several grocery stores across Mississippi, Texas, and Washington, DC, leaving essentials such as water and milk out of stock. According to Reuters, at least 14 states and the District of Columbia have declared weather emergencies.
