Sexual intercourse with dead body not rape: Chhattisgarh High Court

Chhattisgarh High Court observed that engaging in sexual intercourse with dead body doesn't amount to any offence punishable under rape laws or POCSO Act. "There's no doubt that the offence committed by the accused...is one of the most horrendous crimes...but the fact of the matter is...for convicting an offence under [rape laws] the victim should be alive," the court said.
