Shafali breaks record for the highest score by an Indian woman on Test debut

Opener Shafali Verma on Thursday broke the record for the highest individual score by an Indian woman cricketer on Test debut. The 17-year-old scored 96(152) in India Women's first innings against England Women in the ongoing one-off Test in Bristol. The previous record was held by Chanderkanta Kaul who scored 75 runs in her first Test innings in February 1995.
