Shanghvi's brother-in-law's role at Sun Pharma reduced after scandal

Sun Pharma's billionaire Founder and MD Dilip Shanghvi's brother-in-law Sudhir Valia has become a non-executive director from whole-time director following a governance scandal. Whistleblower complaints had alleged that Shanghvi-owned Aditya Medisales (AML), a distributor for the drugmaker, made improper loans to firms controlled by Valia. Sun Pharma discontinued its business tie-up with AML.
