Shankar Mahadevan, Sudha Murty on panel to develop NCERT books, syllabus

Author and philanthropist Sudha Murty and singer Shankar Mahadevan are part of a 19-member panel set up by the NCERT to revise textbooks. The National Syllabus and Teaching Learning Material Committee will develop textbooks for classes 3 to 12. A controversy erupted over the dropping of several topics and portions from NCERT textbooks in May.
