Shankaracharya sits on hunger strike after being 'stopped' from taking dip at Magh Mela

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati sat on hunger strike in protest after police allegedly stopped him and his followers from taking holy dip in Ganga during Prayagraj's Magh Mela. However, authorities clarified that no one was stopped from taking bath. He didn't have permission to move on that route during peak hours, and his supporters breached police barricades, they added.
