Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar wins from Baramati for 7th time

NCP candidate and party chief Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar won from the Baramati seat in the Maharashtra Assembly elections for the seventh time. He defeated BJP candidate Gopichand Padalkar by 1,65,265 votes. Ajit had quit as the constituency's MLA last month, stating that Sharad Pawar was being defamed in an alleged money laundering case because he was his relative.
