Shardul Thakur had to be picked for the T20 World Cup: Salman Butt

Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt said that Shardul Thakur's inclusion in India's T20 World Cup squad "had to happen". Butt added that Thakur has been consistent with the bat and bowl in recent matches. Butt's statement came after BCCI on Wednesday replaced Axar Patel with Shardul Thakur in main squad that will play in the ICC T20 World Cup.
