Shark attack kills swimmer at Perth's Sorrento Beach

A man died after a shark attack while swimming 50 metres offshore at Sorrento Beach near Perth, Western Australia. Authorities closed nearby beaches as police searched the waters. It is the fourth fatal shark attack reported in Australia in 2026.
