Shashi Tharoor trapped in hotel lift in Kerala, rescued

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was rescued after he and many others were trapped for several minutes inside a lift at a private hotel in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram. Tharoor had arrived to attend an event at Rotary Club of Trivandrum East when the lift malfunctioned. According to reports the people at the hotel partially opened the lift door before rescue team arrived.
