Shastra VC launches $100-mn fund to back deeptech and AI startups

Venture capital firm Shastra VC has launched a $100 million fund to back early-stage startups in sectors including deeptech, artificial intelligence, defence, climate tech, spacetech, and renewable sciences. Formerly known as Veda VC, the firm plans to invest between $500,000 and $3 million in IP-driven startups. Its portfolio includes Simplismart, Sisir Radar, Avammune and Alt Carbon.
