Shaurya Chakra awardee's widow gets pension after 26 yrs with SC intervention

The widow of Shaurya Chakra awardee Mohan Singh has secured the Special Family Pension after a 26-year legal battle after the Supreme Court's intervention. The court awarded her an additional ₹10 lakh, observing that Singh has made the "supreme sacrifice". Singh was awarded the Shaurya Chakra after he laid down his life while helping evacuate workers from debris.
