Sheikh Hasina’s contempt charges linked to leaked phone call

Sheikh Hasina’s contempt case is based on a leaked phone call from October last year between Hasina and Bulbul. In the call, Hasina allegedly said "227 cases have been filed against me, so I have obtained a licence to kill 227 people." Prosecutors said this threatened the judicial process, intimidated those involved in war crimes trials related to uprising in Bangladesh.
