Shell CEO's pay more than doubles to $22.8 million in 2018

Royal Dutch Shell CEO Ben van Beurden's pay package more than doubled to $22.8 million in 2018, the oil and gas giant revealed on Thursday. It was the second-highest pay on record for the 60-year-old since he became CEO in 2014. Beurden's role was critical in acquiring BG Group and delivering on a $30-billion divestment plan, the company said.
