Shell to acquire Europe's largest RNG producer for $2 billion

Shell on Monday said it will acquire Europe's largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer Nature Energy for nearly $2 billion. The oil company added that the acquisition of the Denmark-based firm, which has 14 operating plants, will help it to strengthen its low-carbon business. The companies expect the deal to close in the first quarter of 2023.
