Shibu Hazra sent to 8-day police custody in Sandeshkhali case

A subdivision court in West Bengal's Basirhat has sent TMC leader Shibu Hazra to eight-day police custody in connection with Sandeshkhali violence case. Earlier, police said that sections of rape were also added to FIR filed against Hazra, who is an aide of absconding TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. Violence broke out in the district following allegations of rape by women.
