Shikhar Dhawan ruled out of 2019 World Cup, Pant replaces opener

Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the 2019 World Cup as he is not in a position to recover in time from a fractured thumb. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who was sent to England as a cover for Dhawan, replaces him in the World Cup squad. Dhawan had sustained the injury during India's match against Australia.
