Shimla on Tuesday recorded its hottest March day in seven years, as the maximum temperature rose to 25.6°C. The Met department said this was also the third-highest temperature ever recorded in March, after 27.2°C in 2004 and 25.8°C in 2010. Several other cities and towns in Himachal Pradesh, including Dharamsala and Bhuntar, also witnessed high temperatures during daytime.
