Shimron Hetmyer equals Pooran's record for most sixes in a T20 WC

West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer smashed seven sixes in the T20 World Cup Super Eight match against Zimbabwe, reaching 17 sixes in the ongoing tournament. He equalled Nicholas Pooran, who had hit 17 sixes in 2024 and surpassed Chris Gayle, who had hit 16 maximums in World T20 2012. Notably, Hetmyer scored 85(34) against Zimbabwe in the match.
