Shinzo Abe becomes Japan's longest-serving Prime Minister

Shinzo Abe became Japan's longest-serving Prime Minister after he marked his 2,887th day in office on Wednesday. Abe first took over as Japan's Prime Minister in 2006, becoming the country's youngest leader in the post-World War II era, but had stepped down a year later. He returned to power for the second time in 2012.
