Ship 'scrapped' in Bangladesh 5 years ago crosses Strait of Hormuz

An oil tanker called 'Nabiin', which was seemingly scrapped in Bangladesh five years ago, transited the Strait of Hormuz days after another such 'zombie' tanker crossed the waterway. A 'zombie' tanker assumes the identity of a scrapped legitimate ship. A liquefied natural gas carrier, 'Jamal', which crossed the Strait on March 20, was dismantled in India in October 2025.
