Shiv Sena protests against police for helping ally BJP in local body polls

Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena protested in the Maharashtra Assembly, demanding action against "partisan" SP Tushar Doshi for allegedly aiding ally BJP in the Satara council chief poll. Shinde said Minister of Tourism Shambhuraj Desai informed him that NCP members were arrested before the election. The BJP won the election even as the Sena-National Congress Party (NCP) combine had the majority.
