Shivakumar gets oath stage to face East over Vastu beliefs, breaks tradition

Ahead of taking oath as Karnataka Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar reportedly had the stage at Lok Bhavan's Glass House reoriented to face east, departing from the long-standing west-facing tradition, India Today reported. His deep faith in Vastu and astrology reportedly influenced the last-minute change. Shivakumar's swearing-in ceremony is also scheduled for a carefully chosen muhurat at 4.05 pm.
