Shivamogga man shoots stray dog after it bites his pet

A Shivamogga man was arrested after allegedly shooting a stray dog in Nadavalli village. Police said Lingamurthy shot the animal after it attacked and bit his pet dog. The Anandapura police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act. Locals said the stray was familiar in the village and often followed villagers while they took cattle grazing.
