Shivinder Mohan, once among India's wealthiest businessmen, files for personal bankruptcy
Shivinder Mohan Singh, who co-founded both Fortis and Religare, has filed for personal bankruptcy. Singh, once among India's wealthiest businessmen, blamed dispute with Japan's Daiichi Sankyo. Daiichi had alleged he withheld crucial information while selling his firm Ranbaxy Labs in 2008. After a Singapore court ordered Singh to pay ₹3,500 crore in damages, several of his assets were seized.
