Shooter was guest at hotel where White House event was being held: Police

DC Police Chief Jeffery Carroll said it's believed the shooter was a guest at the Washington Hilton hotel, where the White House Correspondents' Association dinner was being held. "We've secured a room here in the hotel, and...we'll go through the appropriate procedures to determine what was inside there," he added. The shooter has reportedly been identified as Cole Thomas Allen.
