'Shooting stars' from Halley's Comet to appear in skies this week

'Shooting stars' with their origin from the Halley's Comet will be visible in the skies this week. The best time to see the Orionid meteor shower is from midnight to dawn when it will peak between October 20 and October 21. Orionid meteors appear every year when Earth travels through an area of space littered with debris from Halley's Comet.
