Shops in Tamil Nadu will be allowed to stay open 24x7 on all days initially for a period of three years, as per the notification in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. The precondition of the order involves employers ensuring safety of women employees, including constitution of Internal Complaints Committee. It also mandates transport arrangements for women who work in night shifts.
