Short circuit led to fire in Hyd building that killed 17: Official

A fire at a building near Hyderabad's Charminar claimed 17 lives, with a short circuit suspected as the cause, officials said. "The preliminary examination shows that the cause was a short circuit," Telangana Fire Services DG Y Nagi Reddy stated. He added that all victims died due to "smoke inhalation" and confirmed that "nobody had burn injuries".
