Should a person increase existing SIP or start a new one as income rises?
Although there's no one-size-fits-all answer, a person can increase their existing SIP if it still fits their investment goal and risk level, and they already have the required portfolio diversification elsewhere. A new mutual fund becomes more relevant when the existing portfolio has a genuine gap that it can fill. The decision shouldn't be based only on recent returns.
