With his 104(97) against Australia in the second ODI, Shubman Gill took his run tally in ODI cricket to 1,917 in 35 innings. These are the most runs scored by a batter in the first 35 innings of his ODI career. Gill broke the previous record held by ex-South Africa batter Hashim Amla, who scored 1,844 runs in 35 innings.
