Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra, commenting on Shubman Gill's role in India's T20I team, opined that Gill not scoring runs in the 2025 Asia Cup final is a problem. He noted that all other batters in the team are "strokemakers" and unable to guide the innings like him. Gill was dismissed for 12 runs off 10 balls in the final.
