Shut madrasa boards, stop govt funding to them: National child rights body to states

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has written to all States and Union territories recommending shutting of madrasa boards and halting of government funding to them. It also sent them a report alleging that madrasas 'violate' educational rights of children. It suggested enrolling all Muslim and non-Muslim madrasa students in formal schools.
