Shuttler Mithun beats opponent ranked 43 spots higher in Aus Open
Indian shuttler Mithun Manjunath, who's currently ranked 50th in the world rankings, defeated Singapore's world number seven ranked shuttler Loh Kean Yew 21-19, 21-19 to reach the Australian Open's pre-quarters. Manjunath defeated 2021 BWF World Championships gold medallist Yew in 41 minutes, recording a win against an opponent ranked 43 spots higher. Yew saved six match points in second game.
