Siachen base camp to get power grid for 1st time by September

The Indian Army's Siachen base camp will be connected to a power grid for the first time by September 15. Ladakh Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Friday directed officials to complete the power transmission projects by the deadline. The projects worth ₹1,925 crore will also connect remote regions of Zanskar and Nubra to the power grid for the first time.
