SIAM withdraws govt letter flagging E20 contamination, says 'Our data needs authentication'

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has withdrawn its July 28 letter to the government in which it flagged E20 petrol contamination. This comes a day after the letter, which noted a "huge increase" in the replacement of vehicle parts that come in contact with fuel, surfaced in media reports. "Some numbers quoted in the communication need authentication," SIAM said.
