Sicilian mafia boss bites off and swallows prison guard's finger

A 60-year-old Sicilian mafia boss serving a life sentence for killing a policeman bit off and swallowed the little finger of a prison guard, an Italian news report said. Giuseppe Fanara from Cosa Nostra clan attacked seven guards during a cell inspection in June. He allegedly charged at the guards with a broomstick shouting, "I'll slit your throats like pigs!"
