Siddaramaiah appointed Karnataka CM, DK Shivakumar to be Deputy CM

Siddaramaiah has been appointed the CM of Karnataka, days after Congress won the state polls with 135 seats. Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar has been appointed the Deputy Chief Minister. Confirming the appointment, Shivakumar said, "In the larger interest of the party (I have agreed to a power-sharing formula) and why not, because sometimes the ice should break."
