Siddaramaiah backs DK Shivakumar as next Karnataka CM

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah proposed Deputy CM DK Shivakumar's name for the top post during the meeting with party leaders in Bengaluru on Thursday. Siddaramaiah earlier announced that he will step down from CM post. He is expected to leave for Delhi by around 5 pm on a private aircraft amid the ongoing leadership transition in the state.
