Sikh father-daughter duo win UK honour for feeding millions
Sikh father-daughter duo Inderjit Jugdy and Avtar Kaur have received Coventry's Good Citizen Award for their decade-long fight against hunger. Through their charity Langar Aid, they served over one million free meals in 2025 alone. What began with just 30 meals a week in 2016 has grown into a community initiative distributing 20,000 meals weekly across Coventry.
