Sikkim hosts first-ever 'Butterthon' for statehood jubilee

Sikkim launched its first butterfly-watching marathon, 'Butterthon', from May 1-16 to mark 50 years of statehood. The event drew international and national experts to explore Sikkim’s rich biodiversity. Organized by the Butterfly Society of Sikkim–TPCF, the event promotes eco-tourism and conservation while celebrating the state’s identity and natural heritage.
