Silchar–Sairang rail line gets official approval from NFR

NFR has confirmed approval for the Silchar–Sairang railway line via Bairabi, with a virtual launch planned after the Parliament session by the Railway Minister and Mizoram CM. The Sairang–Hmawngbuchhuah extension is in principle cleared. Plans include a Vistadome coach, ILP–IRCTC integration, new PRS and parcel services for Aizawl, and key infrastructure upgrades.
