Silver erases all of its 2026 gains, sinks to nearly ₹2.4 lakh/kg

Silver, which had become one of the three top-performing assets in 2025, has erased all the gains it made this year. As per MCX, silver futures with May expiry are trading at nearly ₹2.4 lakh/kg. The precious metal surged by around 170% last year and then extended its gains in January to cross the ₹4 lakh/kg-mark in Indian futures market.
