Silver heads towards ₹3 lakh as it jumps ₹3,600 in a day, gold drops by ₹1,100

Silver extended its record-setting rally for sixth straight day as its price jumped ₹3,600 to ₹2.92 lakh/kg, inching closer to the ₹3 lakh/kg mark, according to All India Sarafa Association. Meanwhile, prices of 99.9% purity gold dipped ₹1,100 from their all-time high to ₹1.46 lakh/10 grams. Traders said silver remained resilient due to industrial offtake, shrugging off weak global trends.
