Simon Harmer reaches 1,000 first-class and 50 Test wickets

Having started the Test on 992 first-class wickets, Simon Harmer claimed eight to reach the coveted 1,000-mark in the format. He became the fourth South African Test cricketer to reach there, after 'Buck' Llewellyn, Mike Procter, and Allan Donald. Harmer also reached his 50th Test wicket in the process.
